In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to create an Asset Edit Table using the PI Vision Custom Symbol Quick Input+. The final result will look like the following image. It will automatically add and update new assets, and users can easily input new data onto them.
First, use the Quick Input+ control and create the necessary input controls for each attribute that you would like to be able to edit later on:
Next, we want to select all our inputs at once, and right-click Convert to collection. Afterwards, right-click the entire collection again, select Format Collection and set wrapping to Top to bottom.
Now all the inputs are created. But we are still missing the names of the individual assets. To add those, we right-click the collection and configure it. We add a new Value control to it, and set the Label Options to the Asset Name, whilst hiding all other information like Value or Timestamp.
Finally, we need to add our column headers. These are simply plain text controls that we place on top:
To add some more visual clarity to our control, we can enable multistate for the individual controls:
